Monologues and Madness

For those of you in the Portland, ME area, I'll be reading my latest column for Drink at Work.com, live, onstage this Thursday, the 24th at The St. Lawrence.

This is my first performance on stage since my senior play in High School. We did The Man Who Came to Dinner. I was "banjo", a character made famous by W.C. Fields.

Needless to say, I'm a bit nervous. Should be fun, tho...

Here's the info:

And here's the piece I'll be reading: I Quit. Sincerely, John Q. Public

There's a lot of great talent in the show and if you can make, it'll be worth your time and cash.

Cheers!

Current Wal-Mart-style storyline

Yeah, Barkeater's current sory arc is based on the recent Wal-Mart vs. The Adirondacks developments. Yes, I know that it looks like the huge retailer is pulling out of its bid to build a store in Saranac Lake.

The thing that grabbed me about the story is the reaction of residents in Saranac Lake and the surrounding areas. This is where I get all my storylines from... People's reactions and actions to current and local developments.

Rest assured, this latest development in BL will take that now all to familar turn for the crazy that we've all come to expect and love.

Thanks for the letters. I'll do my best to keep the strip interesting and funny.

Cheers!

Barkeater Lake book update

So, a lot of you have been emailing asking when there'll be a Barkeater Lake book for sale. Well, as of today....

I don't know.

I have started laying one out and it will take some time to complete, as I would like to have a good bit of perviously unpublished stuff. I'll do my best to keep you updated.

Cheers!

Corey
