See the Show

He was a recluse, drunk, cult hero and most likely insane. He paved the way for unpaid and heckled comics everywhere and on November 8th, he'll be honored the only way his fans know how–through comedy, improv and damn good music parody.

That's right, kids... Your Rock Star family, in cahoots with Burnt Toast™ Productions and Drink at Work.com, is presenting the first of many comedy/sketch/improv/desperate cry for attention shows. Co-hosted by our own resident fake Rock Star, Corey Pandolph, One More for Johnny will showcase some of the greatest comedic talent on the Eastern Seaboard.

So be there this Wednesday, November 8th at 7:30pm. There'll be jokes, drinks and a few curt insults for a lucky few.

Raise a glass to Johnny!

Hey! We're in a book! Well, our house is anyway...

Back when we bought the house on Lawrence Ave, we decided early on that we'd need a bar of some sort. After living in clutter and unpacked boxes for a procrastinatingly long six months, I made an executive decision. On a Saturday, I completely gutted the dining room. The cat peed pink carpet, gone. The pink and green flower wallpaper, down. The paint laden molding and crappy floor boards, out.

So I remade the entire room to look like a back door pub, based on the now infamous Gritty McDuff's in Portland, ME. I will be buried in that bar someday.

So anyway, when Barkeater Lake first made its big debut, the local paper came and did piece on the strip at my house. I had just finished the bar and was eager to show it off to any warm body willing to cross the front door threshold. The reported mentioned he was working on a piece about "Man rooms" in local houses and asked if I'd be willing to include our bar. I said yes, and the rest is history.

I got a call from this nice editor at Taunton Press and they came and spent about 6 hours photographing out little room.

Today in the mail, came a copy of the book.

I dunno about you guys, but I gotta say its pretty cool to be in a book.

You can buy the Manspace book on Amazon for $24.95

Cheers!

New. Different. I was bored.

So we're making a turn here at www.cpantoon.com. From here on out, we'll be known as rockstar, showcasing not only our own cartoons, comedy and animation but also the work of some of our most favoritest fellow folk. There'll be links and photos of bands, comedy, cartoons and upcoming shows, as well as regular comedy rants from the top comedic minds within a 50 square foot perimeter of our house.

The portfolio and upcoming events will be live in the next couple days.

We hope you enjoy the pontificational ridicularity that is rockstar.

Cheers!
