Things are… um, going
Holy moly, what a week.
You’ll all be happy to know that TOBY, Robot Satan is all up to date and flying high, once again. Our nagging technical issues caused a lag in updates, but we were able to get things up late last night. We’re still waiting on the proof of Escape From Barkeater Lake from the printer… As soon as its in, we’ll approve it ASAP and hopefully stay on schedule for shipping the first wave the first week of July.
Work has once again resumed on the CHPMNK book and of there’s a God, we can have it to the printer by the end of July, then set our sites on the third collection of BL strips: Return to Barkeater Lake. Corey wants a “Spaghetti Western”-themed cover, but we’ll see.
Of course, this all hinges on Fake Rockstar, LLC procuring new computer equipment in the next month. We’re on the right track and hopefully we can raise enough coin to work something out.
Happy, digital thoughts!
Cheers, beers and longing for naps,
Your Fake Rockstar Weirdos

Holy moly is right … and the week was capped off with a Sunday comic on Elderberries on June 15 that takes the cake!
The large intro panel (which some subscribing newspapers print and some don’t, I suppose) is magnificent. Before the Elderberries start debating whether the life of a cartoonist is Easy Street, we see a color Sunday comic page … topped off by “Elderberries … by Corey Pandolph”. Could that be ambition, jealousy, wishful thinking, or just a prank to slip one past the Syndication Censors? Sure, Phil Frank earned his own credits, some of us notice that but by now it could well be Corey’s name up there. Seeing it actually happen on the strip-within-a-strip is pretty cool. Then, the s-w-a-s goes on to feature Krinkles (who manages to say “And how!” repeatedly), a punked-out teen in something called “Acne” who looks vaguely reminiscent of someone I’ve seen, and perhaps over at the margin an even more beloved canine character of our acquaintance …
A triumph that really made my day. Thanks!
