One of my many editors told me recently, “… Pretty sure you’re higher on other’s “smite” list”. I admittedly agree, as I’m not one to mince words when others take me to task. I believe I’m always right and with always being right comes a certain amount of genius that causes “the regular folk” to sometimes act out though jealous fits of rage. For this reason, I’ve made it a point to avoid any public appearances, save my daily pub and bacon crawls.
Until now.
On Saturday, May 17th, I will be in attendance at the Maine Comics and Arts Festival, or as it’s become comically know: MECAF. I really hate anagrams… And math… ANYWAY, I’ll be there, along side Norm Feuti of Retail and Gill fame, as well as Lincoln ‘I just signed a three book deal’ Peirce of Big Nate. Bitter, bitter. I’ve also been told that Wiley Miller of Non Sequitur will be haunting the halls, but if you catch a glimpse, be kind folks… He’s a very shy and unassuming sort.
The schedule is still forming on the events side, but I can tell you that Norm Feuti, Lincoln ‘Jerkface Published’ Peirce and I will be panelling a forum around 1pm about syndicated comics and why they are slowly killing us (working title).
This is a one day, all day event and the three of us WILL have a table set up to sell our wares. I’ll make another post early next week, listing what kind of inventory I’ll have and I’ll post a nailed-down schedule of our events.
So… If you want to punch me in the face, this is your chance. All I ask is that you buy something first.
See ya there!
