Howdy, loyal and sordid Bacon Banditos!
Well, here we are, at yet another week of sporadic comics. Trust me, I’m as sick of it as you are. The “too much on my plate” thing has grown tiresome and I think I’ve finally found a way to deal with it:
THE ANGRY EYEBROWS COMIC CONCERN
Another comic, you ask? Well, in a way yes and no. What I’m proposing to do is to take all three of my current webcomics, TOBY, BARKEATER and GREENE WITH ENVY and squish them all into one comic strip space. This will give you, the audience, your continued fix of all three of my comics and in turn give me, the broken creator, a much more manageable workload. I’ll still be producing three comic strips, but only at a one-comic strip rate.
I haven’t figured out the system completely yet, but my idea is to portray the story as all the ‘actors’ of my comics will be under the employ of Fake Rockstar, LLC. They will all continue to live and perform in their different worlds, but in revolving story arcs that we revisit frequently. We may have a week of 3 TOBYS, two BLs and one ENVY, or the complete opposite. On occasion, we’ll hear from Fake Rockstar and his assistant, Whisky, on the workings of the studio and future ideas for story arcs.
I’m ironing all that out this week.
With that said, there probably won’t be many new comics this week and only a handful next week – Mostly to explain what’s going to happen with all teh strips, within the strips. I’m working with GoComics on how to keep the archives for BL and TOBY live, so you all have access to them and how exactly we’ll drive everyone to the new ANGRY EYEBROWS feature that will debut on OCT. 19th.
So, to recap, new comic collective, BARKEATER LAKE will end in it’s current form, but not altogether, returning with ENVY and TOBY on OCT. 19th… and I get to stay sane.
Should be exciting for all involved, me thinks.
ORDERS: All orders have been shipped and I think I’ll close the store for the next month, so I can concentrate on getting the heck out of Maine. We have a renter moving in November 1st, so I need to be out of the house in the next few weeks. I’ll keep the page for pre-orders open, as that involves no shipping, but the rest of the store will close on Friday.
PRE-ORDERS: We are within 5o pre-orders of a print run on both the CHPMNK Militia and RETURN to BARKEATER LAKE. I bet we can meet our goal of 300 on each by the end of the month. Whatta you guys think?
